BACKGROUND
Created for a GRD magazine exhibition at the Benaki Museum celebrating Greek design, this two-poster series captures the essence of Greek summer by visually interpreting the rhythmic calls of cicadas by day and the tranquil songs of crickets at night into 5,413 precisely crafted waveform bars.
IDEA
Blending science, art, and cultural storytelling, the posters translate these iconic summer sounds into screen-printed designs on textured paper, offering a limited edition of 40 that encapsulates the duality of Greek summer—its vibrant energy by day and peaceful serenity by night—through an innovative and accessible visual language.
